Product Details

Factors affecting retroreflectivity:
■ Glass bead coverage
■ Grading (size distribution of glass beads available for the application)
■ Color/transparency/defects
■ Roundness
■ Marking coating quality
■ Settlement depth (embedding)
■ Refractive index
■ Other application variables (road surface, weather, volatile organic compounds in the coating, etc.)

l Lightweight Properties
Engineered with an optimized density to ensure excellent yield per square meter without adding unnecessary weight to the coating system.
l Superior Durability & Strength
Boasts high Mohs hardness and exceptional abrasive wear resistance, guaranteeing that the markings withstand heavy traffic loads and prolonged friction.
l Advanced Surface Treatment
Specially treated to be lipophilic (oil-loving) and hydrophobic (water-repelling). This ensures perfect wetting and bonding with acrylic/two-component resins while repelling moisture for long-lasting adhesion.
l Excellent Thermal & Chemical Stability
Features low thermal conductivity and outstanding resistance to acids, alkalis, and automotive chemicals. It prevents the marking lines from degrading under extreme weather or harsh road conditions.

Advantages

Composition Table of Glass Beads with Different Refractive Indices:

Visibility in Wet/Night Conditions
Conventional glass beads work well in dry conditions but lose effectiveness when wet. A water layer on the road causes light to scatter (specular reflection), reducing visibility for drivers. The solution is to use larger glass beads that protrude above the water film. This ensures light is consistently reflected back to the driver, enhancing retroreflection and safety in rainy conditions or at night.
